"Alert For Me" is a personal safety application for iPhone and Android devices that sends a Help/Alert signal to professionally monitored central stations. This allows you to have a custom response for each user. How we get the Emergency response to dispatch is a PSAP (public-safety answering point) service. This is a database that manages all Police, Fire and Medical agencies in North America. “Alert For Me” uses the GPS location services in your phone and connects you with the correct responding agent. This allows a response anywhere at any time with accuracy.
When activated the App has a visual feedback to you the end-user. This allows you to know we have your signal. Other products have what we call a “Spray and Pray “. You are not updated on whether or not the signal made it to the monitoring group. We let you know with a "RED" indicator that our software sees you. "YELLOW” lets you know our operator is attached to your Emergency and is working it with you. If an Emergency agency is needed you will see a "GREEN" indication they have been dispatched to your location. At any point during this time you can text or talk with us from your phone updating us on your needs.
There are 3 main ways to use Alert For Me.
1. Simply swipe the “HELP” bar: This will give us your location and pull up the correct emergency response for your physical location.
2. Keep Me Safe: This allows you to open the app and hold down a button. If you take your thumb or finger off the button you will have 5 seconds to stop it or let it go into alarm. This will allow you to run or defend yourself.
3. Safety Timer: This gives the ability to set a timer from 1-240 min. This gives us your location at the time you start the timer and starts a clock at our office. So even if your phone is turned off, your timer has started and we will know. This will give us a location to start looking to find you.
Real Time Tracking:
Upon launching one of the features of the Alert For Me app, a signal is transmitted to the central monitoring station using PSAP (Public-Safety Answering Point) with your smartphone GPS location that will pinpoint your location with real time accuracy. Our technology will re-transmit your GPS smart phone location every 25 meters (approximately every 82 feet). Keeping you in contact even if you’re smart device is on the move.
PSAP (Public-Safety Answering Point) technology provides real time accurate location to insure the local first responders are dispatched to your current location. We have Public safety answering points across the U.S. and Canada.
Response to Activation:
After we receive a “Help” signal from your device, we will look for additional information through the app; text updates, specific alarm type, Police, Medical or Fire. If we receive a “Cancel “(with a correct password) from the Alert For Me App, we will stop all actions and inform any agencies we have dispatched to disregard and we consider the event closed. Unless specified on text message, we will attempt to call the phone to gain additional information and send an appropriate response to your location. If we are unsuccessful in reaching anyone by phone we will dispatch Police to your location with the information you have provided through the “Personal Protection App Activation”.
Testing System:
Alert For Me wants you to feel confident with operating your app. Simply call our main number, 844-314-7800, and let the operator know you would like to test. They will stay on the phone and walk through the operation with you so you will understand how your app works.
False activations:
If you have activated your system, you can cancel from the app with the “Cancel Button” and a correct password. We will call the phone or you can also cancel with verbal communication to our dispatch center. They will ask for your password or some personal information to confirm your identity. We and the emergency response agencies take false activations serious. Any abuse of service from excessive activations that are not real emergencies could be grounds for termination of contract with Alert For Me.
Non-Payment & Cancellation: If payment is rejected you will have 10 days to correct or be subject to cancellation of service. To cancel service you will need to contact Alert For Me by Email or Phone. Cancelation must be received 7 Day before billing cycle. Any Cancellations received less than 7 day before billing cycle will be cancelled on next billing cycle. Once a payment has been processed no refunds will be given.

For customers that have a need for a duress word we offer this to any customer that requests it. When the duress word is used we know you are in a hostage or duress situation. We know not every customer requires this level but it is available upon request.
